Slug Damage

Finally in this patch the slugs are fixed. As you can read from the data, a single slug can zero out most body parts on 25 meters. However, a 95 damage chest hit does not instantly kill. It appears that shots that zero out a body part never apply damage after zero but get cut off before going into negative numbers.

This has different results depending on body part.

A hit on a zeroed out chest or head will instantly kill. For all other body parts:

(Damage * 2) which is distributed across the body.

So a leg hit of 85 damage would cause:

85 * 2 = 170
170 / remaining body parts (best case 4) = 42.5
42.5 damage for each remaining body part. 

This means 2 consecutive hits on a blacked out bodypart will kill the target at 10 meters.

However, it is not clear whether a 95 damage shot will actually use 95 in the equation or just the max amount of hitpoint in the body part. It is also not clear if other blacked out limbs get their damage applied to them and whether secondary damage from this equation on a blacked out limb would cause instant death.


Barrel length had a considerable effect on accuracy but not on damage. The above data was collected with a 750mm barrel.


  1. How does slugs stack up against Paca's and Fort's ?

    1. If I'm reading it correctly, it penetrates level 1 so Kulpac's and Scav armor. So just does armor damage against PACA's and Forts, altho it doesn't say here how much.
